36 Body problem of the 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Failure Date: 03/08/2012

This was a multi car pileup on a road with 40mph speed limit which resulted from a vehicle ahead making an abrupt stop. This resulted in about 4 cars behind it having to come to stop resulting in a chain reaction. My car, 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid, could not come to a stop in time when full breaking was applied and ended up colliding with the car in front of me. Mine was the last vehicle in the pileup. This incident resulted in front end damage to my car and rear end damage to the car in front of me, and to two other cars in front of that car. My car could not come to a complete stop in time because I believe the breaks did not function properly. I wasn't aware of any break issues at that time and it was only about two years later I was informed by the dealer service department that there is a recall on this vehicle that involved break fluid reservoir assembly. I am reasonably certain that the accident on 3-8-2012 was the result of breaks not functioning properly and that my car could not stop in time to avoid a frontal collision while traveling at a relatively slow speed of 40mph.

37 Body problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Failure Date: 01/07/2011

We bought this 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid in January 2007. I started noticing the dashboard began to get sticky and shiny. I've never used any harsh chemicals or any chemicals used to clean the dashboard. The rest of the car is well taken care of but as the years went by, the dashboard has just gotten worse. I began doing research and found that others had the same problem. Many have been told it's not part of the warranty. I believe it's a manufacture's defect. Not only is it dirty looking, it also has a shine to it and that has potential to be very dangerous. Especially on a bright sunny day, the shine from the dashboard reflects up to the windshield making it very difficult to see and the same issue arrises when driving at night.

Check vsc system warning, abs, multi lights on. When buzz sound continually arms, it is so hard to apply brake pedal to stop completely. The brakes are out of control. It is a defect from manufactory, not a using consumer. The brake system is so important when moving. Please recall to fix before causing deathly accident.

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact stated that the dashboard surface was melting and became sticky. 40 Body problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Failure Date: 08/01/2008

Almost immediately after purchasing this car, I noticed that the paint seemed to be easily scratched and chipped. I have multiple chipped places on the car that are beginning to rust. In addition, the clear coat is getting thin or something on the trunk of the car and the paint is looking very dull. I always take care of the car and washed and waxed it often. This weak paint job will most definitely affect resale value. In addition, the plastic pieces that are on the undercarriage of the car have come loose and fallen off or had to be taken off one by one.

41 Body problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Failure Date: 03/17/2007

Toyota Camry Hybrid 2007 black paint is defective design technology. Toyota changed to a water based paint two years ago, and the product is a manufacturer's defective design and process. Toyota is hiding this fact from its customer base. Call Toyota corporate get case number and complaint like crazy. File a complaint with NHTSA. Be honest, you paid a lot of money for a defective paint job and they knew it. Never buy a Toyota again!.
