Lost power steering could not could not turn steering wheel. Had vehicle towed to dealer. They replaced rack and pinion cost was 1949. 27 but were covered under warranty. My daughter were driving and didn't know what to do, they were lucky that were able to slowly pull over and they were going slow under 30 mph.

2 Electric Power Assist Steering System problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Failure Date: 09/10/2007

When pulling off the car from the garage on Monday morning the steering wheel was hard to steer. I rode the car to the dealership. I left the car with them for diagnosis. Received a call informing that the power steering computer was damaged. I also tried to contact the car brand office at pr for complaining without sucess; was not able to ge thorugh after holding for 30+ minutes, twice. The car still at the dealership; the replacement part was not available and have to be mailed from some place in the us.
