The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle made an abnormal rattling and humming sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the vehicle was operating as designed as a hybrid vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle might stall while driving. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact sent a letter to the manufacturer, but had not received a response yet. The failure mileage was approximately 45.
