Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving about 30 mph, and attempting to make a turn, the cruise control did not disengage and caused the vehicle accelerate out of control and crashed into the guard rail. There was no warning. The air bag did not deploy. The vehicle was damaged but was drivable. There was no injury reported. There was no police report. The contact drove to a shopping center and later to a collision center. The contact called the darcars Toyota silver spring dealer (301-622-0300, located at 12210 cherry hill rd, silver spring, MD 20904) where a prior repair was done on the cruz control. The technician told the contact to bring the vehicle to the shop. The vehicle was not taken back to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the black box needed to be inspected. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 124,785. Fe.
