Side/rear Glass problems of the 1997 Toyota Celica

Two problems related to side/rear glass have been reported for the 1997 Toyota Celica. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Side/rear Glass problem

Failure Date: 12/27/2004

While lowering convertible top under normal conditions and with no obstructions, back glass exploded for no apparent reason.

2 Side/rear Glass problem

Failure Date: 09/12/1997

During normal conditions while lowering convertable top of car the rear window glass shattered. There was nothing obstructing the lowering of top, so there was no reason for it to break. Cause is unknown.
