I own a 2005 Toyota Corolla. While it is 5 years old it only has 10,530 miles on it and less when the first event occurred. Last fall after idling for a few minutes I backed out of a driveway and the car began to speed up. I immediately slammed on the brakes. I couldn't figure out what happened and assumed it was somehow my fault. I had a friend with me who witnessed the whole incident. Then it happened again in my parking garage. Slow speed again but moving forward. I had heard about the floor pads and mine was loose so I removed it. Then it happened again, in January--the day the jets lost the championship(it was before the game and no alcohol) again I was maneuvering in my sister's drive way and almost ended up in her den.
The contact has a 2005 Toyota Corolla. While driving approximately 25 mph, the brakes made a loud squeaking noise whenever they were engaged. The brakes pads had to be replaced every 10 months. The tires also have to be replaced every 2 years even though the contact has had several alignments. The first time the tires and brakes were replaced, the mileage was 12000. The failure mileage was 6. The current mileage was 42999.
