The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Corolla equipped with goodyear all season tires. The contact stated while sitting idle with the brakes depressed, the vehicle abnormally accelerated resulting in a crash. There were no injuries. The tires were replaced and the failure did not recur. The contact also stated there was an unusual increase in braking distance and in order to stop the vehicle, he would have to apply steady, repeated pressure on the brakes before they would engage. The failure mileage was 200 and the current mileage was 34,000.
