The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Corolla. While driving 35 mph, the contact noticed that all of the warning lights appeared on the instrument panel and remained illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the dealer who repaired the vehicle so that the warning lights were no longer illuminated; however, within a week the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated that the abs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not inspected when the complaint was filed. The failure mileage was 10,000.
Tla contact owns a 2009 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that when driving at any speed, the abs braking system would lock up and he had no control of the vehicle. The failure seemed to occur on icy or gravel pavement. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership twice but the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000. The current mileage was approximately 36,000. Updated 12/20/10 the consumer stated as he slowed down to make a right turn, the brakes locked up and sent him into an uncontrollable slide narrowly missing several vehicles and children. The consumer stated his speed was about 20 mph when he applied the brakes on about 1/4 inch of snow which had just started to fall. The consumer stated it seemed as though his vehicle has the same anti-lock brake problem as other Toyota vehicles. Updated 12/21/10.
