The driver seat belt dont work and once in a great while it will work but even whenever it does latch it still shows the seat belt isn't on and that noise keeps going off but after a while the noise goes off but the symbol is still on the dash board. I recently got hit from behind (09/15/2025) at a red light and no air bags deployed. Im not sure if they were suppose to deploy but either way my seat belt dont work. And I know this isn't a safety matter but my radio doesn't turn off when I turn off my car and I can't lock/unlock my doors with the key fob I have to lock it with the key on the driver door. I have to take the fuse out for the radio so my battery won't die and so the radio turns off.
In 2024, my 2016 Toyota Corolla was involved in a collision. The airbags did not deploy. I went to the emergency room following the crash and later required additional medical treatment, including rehabilitation.

We discovered that there was an explosion of some sort inside the car on the passenger side, which seems to have potentially involve the air bag system and/or electrical around the system, but this is not entirely known. The car was parked at the time and had not been driven for approximately 65 hours. It appears there was a fire but we did not witness. The dash is melted leaving a gaping hole, what appears to be portions of the air bag are partially disintegrated and stuck to the ceiling, the ceiling is charred, the sun visor is melted and distorted, and hanging down, underneath the dash is also melted, and the smell in the car is absolutely stifling. The windshield is shattered in one spot, with additional cracks stemming from that point of contact. The windshield is damaged from the impact from inside the car and is pushing out. The car was locked, there is no evidence of forced entry or attempted forced entry. It has never been in a collision. The car was parked three feet away from our motorhome in the confines of our RV spot at an asphalt campground. The safety of all in the area was at risk, and furthermore, since this explosion was unprovoked, if we had been in the car at the time, it's unimaginable as to what sort of bodily damage the passengers, especially the passenger seat occupant, would have incurred. I do not believe the problem can be reproduced, but the car has yet to be inspected. I am currently awaiting insurance to take the car via tow truck to inspect it. There were no warnings, messages, or other symptoms.

Received another recall notice on another Toyota Corolla le vehicle. I have made a complaint in 2018 when I had a prior 2010 Toyota Corolla le and the jim white Toyota dealership in toledo, ohio had my vehicle for over 1 year- sitting in their parking lot with no word on a part remedy- after complaining to your organization and Toyota corporate- the dealer offered me the 2016 Toyota Corolla le - I had to put down $3,000 and have a higher car note- I also expressed concerns about experiencing another recall which I was assured I wouldn't- but now I am. Toyota has failed once again. I was part of the Toyota takata class action lawsuit for over 2years and received a measly $62. 00 check for all the agony I went through. I am scheduled to bring my vehicle in this Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 9:30 am and was promised I would not experience what I had before- but well see and I will keep you updated.
I received a letter requesting recall.
Airbags did not deploy on time of the accident that I was very injured and hospitalized for 4 days in the icu.
My vehicle is affected by the takata airbag issue but the Toyota dealer in orland park illinois says it is not. How do I get the airbag issue fixed?.
Vehicle was recalled 62 days ago under NHTSA recall number20v024 and no repair has been identified. For a vital safety feature such as an airbag this is unacceptable.
Open recall since 1/17/2020. Nhtsa recall# 20v024 manufacturer recall# 20tb03 there is a huge safety risk with my vehicle's airbags/seatbelts, that Toyota still hasn't found a remedy for??!! how am I to feel about my wife and 2-year old son riding in that car daily? I have a vehicle I'm making payments on, but am very hesitant about using? how many resources/hours are being dedicated to fixing this issue? I don't understand how it can be taking so long, for such an enormous safety risk.

12/09/2019, the ecu did not have adequate protection against certain electrical noise that occurred during the collision. Airbags did not deploy in the event of under ride collision, a freak accident involving wildlife crossing the street. Seat belt pretensioners did not engage. I called allstate insurance that same day. Had I not worn my seat belt, I might have gone through the windshield. Safety was in danger, and not protected. Meineke informed me the oil housing component, fused onto the component that allows for an oil change because it was made with a plastic material, that is an incorrect material, oxygen sensor lit up after that finding. Vehicle is not available for inspection upon request. Tyler law enforcement might have inspected the vehicle in general. My VIN for my vehicle does not describe the style of my vehicle, which is a 2016 Toyota carolla sport, red.

Front bumper/grill area paint not adhering to front area factory color blizzard pearl white. This area is the factory original paint. No history of damage or repaint. Airbag recall?.
I hit a deer and my car is possible totaled, but none of the air bag came out like they should have. I was doing 55 miles an hour on a 2 lane rd when a deer jump out.
Takata recall, I was driving home in stop in go traffic on freeway and the truck in front of me speed up. Once I accelerated to about 20-25 miles an hour the truck stopped, I saw it and tried to stop but brakes would not work. There was a grinding noise that you could feel and hear as well as wouldn't let you push all the way down on brakes. This resulted in me hitting the person in front of me. Hood is pushed up and front bumper completely off as well as light damage and more but no airbags were deployed. All 3 of my children were in the car with me and this is a hug safety issue.
Been waiting for dealers to fix the recalls my car has, they say they will call when they receive parts. Still waiting.
I was recently in an accident on 1/19/2018. Where I was driving between 25-30 mph. Neither my airbags deploy nor did my seatbelts lock very well.
Accident due to breaks locking and the car continued to roll. Back seat passenger seat belt did not lock causing passenger to fly forward and back; injured breast bone driver air bag from steering wheel did not inflate fully.
I have been in two accidents where both times I was ran off the road into a ditch. In neither accident did any of the air bags deploy but I definitely hit hard enough in which they should had. One time my child was in the back seat. I hit a ditch filled with huge rocks the first accident was settled at over $1700 and the 2nd accident is still in the claims portion of the accident, where I was ran off the road. The air bags should had deployed but from the negative publicity it may had caused more damage, and thatbis very scary to think about seeing that my 5 year old was involved in one of the accidents. The accident was on a road with a speed limit of 35-40 mph with no stop signs or stop lights until the end of the estimated 2 mile road.
Faulty airbags.
Takata recall.
I had an accident on maech first and the air bags didn't go out.
When I drove my car into my garage, the car accelerated and smashed into my back garage wall (a load bearing wall), completely detaching it from the top and bottom. I decided to back up the car a foot for clearance for me into my house, but the car then accelerated backwards into the street ramming into my neighbor's vehicle. While my car was now smashed front and back, none of the air bags deployed. I put the car back in drive to remove it from my neighbor's car and again, it accelerated, racing down the street and, across a busy intersection. I had my foot on the brake and was pulling on the emergency (or parking) brake and it finally came to a stop. The police were called and came but said since it was only property damage there would be no report. I shut off the ignition.
I was making a left-hand turn on a two-lane highway. The individual behind me was not paying attention and did not stop. Instead of swerving to the right to miss me, she swerved into the oncoming traffic lane just as I was turning left. Her GMC 2500 heavy duty pick-up impacted my car at the driver door, front pillar, front fender. The impact pushed my car over 30 ft down the road before pushing my car approximately 20 ft off the road, up a slight hill. In this impact, no airbags deployed. The state trooper at the scene, the insurance company, and the tow truck driver are all stunned by this fact. In this accident my head hit the pillar next to my door causing me to be knocked unconscious, giving me a concussion and causing a head laceration requiring staples in my head. The tow truck driver said the cartridge in the seat belt assembly did not deploy and my collar bone was broken as well. My car was going about 5 miles per hour at the moment of impact. I was sitting in traffic prior to making the left-hand turn. In addition, I did have a progressive snap-shot installed in the car.
