2 Rear Seat Belt problem of the 2009 Toyota Corolla

Failure Date: 03/22/2010

The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated the rear seat belt would not fasten. The dealer advised that the seat belts were manufactured in a manner where they were unable to make any repairs to the seat belt. The vehicle was not repaired. 3 Rear Seat Belt problem of the 2006 Toyota Corolla

Failure Date: 09/01/2006

1. September 1, 2006 and September 10, 2006. 2. Rear seat belt has jammed closed and would not release allowing passenger to exit the vehicle. In a separate event the buckle snapped as though it was in place, but it later released while the vehicle was in operation. 3. The vehicle will be taken back to the dealership for replacement. For now, that seat is not being used.

Consumer was unable to unlock the rear passenger seat belt. Consumer tried to unlock the seat belt numerous times but was not able to do so. Consumer cut the seat belt. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection.

Defective seat belts in my 1998 Toyota Corolla. In may 03 and July 03 I had 2 of my 5 seatbelt break. Both appear to have broken in the same fashion.

7 Rear Seat Belt problem of the 1998 Toyota Corolla

Failure Date: 07/16/1998

The middle seat belt in the rear seat combined lap/shoulderhas a belt extender. The lap belt comes up higher than the side of the seat. Shoulder strap does not lock securely. Dealer suggests to put the child in the seat on the side because the child seat cannot go in the middle seat. Dealer cannot duplicate the problem.
