On June 15, a message appeared on the multi-informational panel that the pre-collision system was unavailable. An orange warning symbol also appeared on the dash. Car was repaired a at kendall, Toyota, 10943 s. Dixie highway, miami, FL 33156 in kendall, florida. The millimeter wave radar sensor was replaced. The unit itself cost $843 and replacement labor was $350. Like other Toyota radar sensors, I believe this one has design defects. It is a safety issue. I assume that many people will not replace it. The message on the panel does not say the unit needs replacement. I retained the faulty unit and it is available for inspection. It is Toyota part #88210-07010. There are no signs of damage that I could see. The unit has not been open and I have put it in a baggie. It has not been inspected by anyone. The new part has the same part number. There were no prior warnings or symptoms.

Electrical issue on vehicle says that vehicles safety features are unavailable and all the light indications on the dash are lit up. It was taken to the dealership several times but the issue still hasn’t been resolved.
On 11/29/23 after 11:30pm, I was in the process of clearing an exit and at the tail end of the exit it felt like the car was "correcting" itself and I was unable to stay turning right. The steering wheel felt locked and I was unable to control the car. The car impacted the guardrail and I was able to regain control after the initial impact. -this is a brand new car with less than 100 miles at the time of the accident. - prior to the collision, there were no warning signals from the dashboard. - I was not injured from the accident as I was only able to go around 27-33mph due to a tractor trailor clearing the exit in front of me. No others were involved. - the manufacturer sent an inspector to look at the vehicle and test drive it. However, they did not test drive in the same conditions I was in or at. - the issue was not reproduced by another party. (photos were taken the next day).
Coming home from work at 9:40pm a deer hit my car. I got no notification from my car about an object near my vehicle. I stopped my car lights were flashing and the operator on my car assist came on about detecting an accident. My cab filled with smoke and a funny smell. I thought the car was on fire. So I jumped out ambulance and cops showed up. My car got towed to clifton collision in clifton texas. Later I found out that the air bags should have deployed . All my seat belts are locked up in the front and back. But no air bag deployment. The air bag light is on. After 4 months of my vehicle in the shop with me making payments and insurance payments still no vehicle back for me. My car sits at Toyota in waco. Jeff hunter Toyota waiting on emcu for the air bags with no eta. All the seatbelts had to be cut out of the car and the air bags replaced. I have called Toyota advocate to try to resolve my problem and still no help from them. This is a major safety concern that could take someone’s life.

I was traveling on the interstate home from work one night, I was kinda tired, I put on my turning signal to let the person behind me know I was getting in the right lane know when all of a sudden a car sped by, the blind spot warnings didn’t come on at all, as a matter of fact I only saw them appear only twice since I had this car and they haven’t been on since and I’ve had this car for a week and two days, that’s an accident waiting to happen.

I purchased my Toyota Corolla se 2021 in may 2021 with 11 miles on it. I received safety connect trial for one year. It was so unsafe. I believe there was an invasion of privacy because after requesting my data held at Toyota corp. , I read of times of install/deactivation that were not proper in accordance of my purchase and my understanding of the set up at time of purchase. It appears this safety connect was already connected before my purchase, which is a safety issue and is a violation of privacy and lead to data breach. With my connected device, iphone, acting crazy and miss reading my locations and redirecting, etc. , I was on my way to apple in December 2021 with 2016 miles on my car. I believe the remote connect was being controlled by others as up to five devices are allowed on the module. Gps worked accordingly obviously, because when I exited the interstate, immediately my engine stalled out at 50 miles an hour in the rain. I was scared to death and found the closest gas station to pull over and stop my engine. About 30 minutes later, I continued to apple, 1 mile away. After restarting my car, I was alerted to be safe and contact my provider. I found out that that meant that my control module was blown. This has affected me in a few ways. Maps have read I am in china, south florida, north, florida, georgia, California. I also went to the local Toyota for an oil change and tire rotation in October 2022 and learned that I needed a tire replacement and the pressure was down to 15 pounds. No light appeared. If the communication module is destroyed, then all of the safety features are, as well. No lights alert, no blindspot warning days, automatic emergency, braking has failed as well, as I recall when it worked and it is not even sensing a vehicle or anything in front of it. Also the red signs that display, stop, certain miles per hour, etc. Are reading incorrectly. Furthermore, Toyota wants to disclaim all warranties associated.

My passenger airbag deployed while turned off with no passenger on board. This airbag deployment busted my windshield which will cost me $400. 00 and Toyota says the airbag will not deploy unless there is a passenger or weight which no weight and no passenger. After purchasing my Corolla my car powered down. I took it back to the dealership and they checked it and stated there was nothing wrong with it. This was in November 2020. On 1/16/2021 I was driving on a highway and the same thing happened, everything just powered down. I was fortunate enough to get the vehicle off the road and called the dealership. This was around 6:00pm. I then called my family and told them where I was and what happened. A passerby stopped to assist me and got my car running by jumping it off. An hour later I was sitting in a private drive waiting on traffic to pass before pulling out. The next thing I know I was hit by another vehicle. The vehicle that hit me then went over to the other lane and sideswiped a truck that had a low boy trailer attached to it. It is my understanding is that when the truck hit the other truck after hitting me that is when the 3 people in the truck were killed. Two of the people were ejected and the other partially ejected. The people in the 2nd truck told police that I failed to yield the right of way. They never asked me what happened and took the other drivers word at what happened. There were no skid marks from either truck on the roadway. If I was pulling out I am sure there would be skid marks.
