Two problems related to engine stall have been reported for the 2010 Toyota Prius. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2010 Prius 2. Multiple occasions of complete loss of engine power and stalling at various speeds. Coasted to the side of the road and restarted/rebooted car. All interior lights stayed on but the engine was off. Dealer could not replicate the problem and could find no faults.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 mph, the engine stalled without warning. Upon restarting, the vehicle resumed normally but the failure later recurred. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis where the volt battery was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 49,312.
