2004 Toyota rav 4. Consumer writes in regards to dealership poor communication to schedule airbag recall repair appointments and to order driver side airbag replacement parts.
Tl-the contact owns a 2004 Toyota rav 4. The contact stated that after making a left turn at approximately 15 mph, the front passenger side and front driver side air bags deployed inadvertently without warning. As a result, the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the curb causing all four tires to blow. A police report was not filed and there was no injuries reported. The vehicle was towed to the contacts residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 330,000. Ss.
Avoiding deer, hit embankment and car rolled onto passenger side. No airbags deployed. Car equipped with front and side airbags.
