Child Seat problem

My daughter (5-years old, 40 lbs) was in a britax frontier car seat when we were struck by another car in the front driver's side. The car was then struck a second time and propelled into a telephone pole. The plastic piece holding the car seat tightly in place snapped during the accident, and though the car seat was still fastened by the latch system it could move freely. My daughter hit the dvd player in front of her seat. She has a concussion and multiple facial lacerations. The car seat completely failed to hold her in place in the accident.
