Front Seat Heater/cooler problems of the 2010 Toyota RAV4

1 Front Seat Heater/cooler problem

Failure Date: 12/19/2014

I received an electronic message from NHTSA that my vehicle was subject to a manufacturer's recall (I. E. , defective seat heater ). However, that message was in error after I checked with the manufacturer as well as after contacting the NHTSA office.

2 Front Seat Heater/cooler problem

Failure Date: 11/13/2012

The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated that the front driver side seat cushion heater generated excessive heat. The contact was not injured. The contact mentioned that the front passenger side seat back and heating element were both replaced previously due to the heating element generating inadequate heat. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v743000 (seats). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,815.
