The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated that the vehicle had failed to start up after multiple attempts without warning. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to the dealer where a diagnostic discovered that the fuel pump had failed to operate as needed. Upon further inspection, they discovered that a plastic canister inside the fuel tank had ran hot and also needed to be replaced. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had been repaired. The failure mileage was 114,837.
