Toyota RAV4 owners have reported 2 problems related to front seat recliner (under the seats category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Toyota RAV4 based on all problems reported for the RAV4.
When in the driver's seat and the lever to adjust the angle of the seat back is lifted, the seat back moves away from the driver's back and does not return. If no one is in the seat sometimes the seat back when pushed back will return forward but slowly and weakly. Driving and attempting to adjust the seat requires the vehicle be steered, the seat lever kept lifted and reaching back to pull the seat forward. This unnerving and unsafe.
