Air Bag Light On Problems of Toyota Scion Xb

I went over a high speed bump now my airbag light is on. It works intermittently but mainly stays on. Now I went to dealership and they say it will cost 1100. 00 to fix. The passenger air bag is not working but the driver is. I've also noticed other people with airbag problems with passenger side. Maybe its time for a recall!!!.

After having my car, 2005 xb, serviced my air bag light came on. Dealer stated they would need to remove the steering wheel to fix the problem. Car has approx 160,000 miles on it and I have seen others stating that same problem at or near the same mileage, Toyota needs to look into this cause it seems to be a problem. Also other lights randomly coming on such vechile stabilty, check engine and another light all come on together for no apparent reason. Recall please.

The air bag light came on and stayed on. We had our local mechanic look at it and he said the steering column needed to be taken apart to fix it. This sounds exactly like the current Toyota recall for the spiral cable assembly yet my scion is not on the list of recalled vehicles.
