Automatic Transmission problems of the 2005 Toyota Sequoia

1 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 04/20/2011

The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Sequoia. The contact was driving approximately 35 mph and approaching a traffic stop. As the contact engaged the brakes, the transmission began to jerk with hesitation. In addition, the vsc off, vsc trac, check engine and brake warning indicators were illuminated. The warning indicators remained illuminated until the engine was turned off. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where they advised that both the vsc computer and transmission were defective. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.

2 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2010

In the past two weeks following a rapid braking my 2005 Toyota Sequoia surged forward upon acceleration requiring applying the brakes to stop the sudden lurching forward. This has occurred on three occasions over a ten day period.

3 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 04/18/2005

When the vehicle is being driven the transmission hesitates, then jerks forward. This is a daily occurrence. *m.
