Brake Light On problems of the 2007 Toyota Sequoia

My vehicle is a Toyota sequoya 2004 4 wheel drive. Since about 2 years, the vsc and brake lights stay on off and on. I took this to the local dealer. He said this is an inherent problem in the sequoya vehicles stretching from 2001 to 2007. He wanted to change a computer costing about $1200. 00. This is very unsafe!! the vsc trac, vsc off, and brake light come on this truck. When these lights come on my car goes into a crazy slamming mode. It shakes the whole car and my car will not stop! I have babies and this is not safe for anyone on the road! the weird part is that as soon as you turn the car off then on everything seems fine and it works for a little bit then bam you are trying to stop and the car wont and start shaking out of control! please help! I have looked online and there are tons of people with the same problem. With Toyota's history they need to take care of it. We all need your help do the right thing and recall!!.
