Ten problems related to tire have been reported for the 1999 Toyota Sienna. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I bought 4 michelin tires (p205/70r 15 x rad) for my minivan in June 2006. This month the steering wheel of my car started to shake violently at low speed. I brought my car to dealer. I was told that the two belts inside of the tires separated. I was recommended to replace these tires. These tires have a 80,000 mile warranty, but they only run less than 40,000 miles.
The tires showed signs of excessive wear every 15000 to 20000 miles. Dealer had front and rear suspension aligned. The tires were rotated, but excessive wear still occurred. The dealer admitted something was wrong with the alignment. The first set of tires was replaced at 17k miles, 2nd 39k miles. In any event, the car continued to pull to the left despite the alignment and rotation.
"low tire" indicator came on about 1/4 of a mile from home. Tire was replaced with "spare" and upon inspection, found tire to be damaged along the seams or threads. All tires are showing "cracks"along the seams at different places on the tire. Dealer said tire's guarantee is for 1 year by manufacturer or 36,00 miles in a three year period. I will replace tire at my expense since it seems,I don't have much of a choice. Pls keep me informed of future complaints on this situation. (dot number: w2vf tiresize: p215/65r15).

Front tires are unevenly worn without no alignment problem reported from dealer's service department.
We have had extensive pulling problems and excessive tire wear with our Sienna from the 2nd month we have owned it. The tires are very worn out on the outer edges with only 18000 miles. We have had it into our dealer 5 times to fix the problem. We are aware after doing extensive research through the internet that many Siennas on the road have this problem and Toyota is aware of it, but continues to put people off. I live in the northwest where we have many rainy days and my vehicle is unstable in the rain, with alot of slippage in the tires. This a known problem with the Sienna, as evidenced by our research through edmunds. Com's town hall which is a forum for people with problem vehicles. Numerous people have reported excessive tire wear which is unsafe and a potential hazard. Thank you for taking my comments into consideration. I know I am only one person, but the I consider the safety of my children important enough to make my experiences heard. Thank you, laurie a. Shank.
You guys are worthless!!!!!!!!!!!!!( dot number: tire size: p205/70r15 ).
We just replaced 3rd sets tires, independent shop has to replace parts when dealer claim no problem.
I had a flat tire and replaced the flat with a different manufacturer than the other 3 tires. Because there is 1/16th" difference in the tire depth the warning light will not stay out even after resetting it. Toyota says that as long as the tires are different the light will not stay out. I say I'm not the only one to ever have a flat tire and replace it with a different manufacturer's tire and there needs to be an adjustment made in the sensor. I didn't ask for this feature; it came with the car. If they're going to put something like this on their cars (and they are planning on putting it on all their new models) they need to have a way to adjust it. It also startles me when the light comes on because I think there's something wrong with the car.
The firestone tire on the vehicle experienced a blow out while driving.
