The engine leaks oil at valve covers. They have been replaced. Still leaks. And a lot of sludge builds up= on pump screen. Blew engine!! had engine replaced. Same thing happening. I am on social security. &3 and can not afford thousands on this vehicle. . Please help@+!!.
Engine has failed due to oil leaking at piston rings/sludge. Toyota claiming improper maintenance. Have maintenance records for oil changes at intervals better than recommended. Toyota claims denied because service not performed at Toyota. Estimate from dealer for repair is $8,300. There appears to be some other problem with this engine but they won't investigate further due to sludge even though I can prove proper maintenance.
While having cam seal/valve seal replaced due to an oil leak, mechanic noticed right front passenger tire had a bubble and was replaced by firestone, consumer states vehicle is going back for a 3rd time for the oil leak.
