Wheel problem #1

Side impact collision by chevy pickup on a city street. Vehicle was moving straight after stopping at a stop sign. Driver side completely damaged, but no airbag deployed, not even a single one.

Wheel problem #2

While I was driving down the interstate (70 mph), the spare tire that is stored under the vehicle, fell off in the roadway. I live in south dakota and drive a lot in iowa and nebraska but none of these states are part of the standard recall even though these states use considerable amounts of salt on their roads during winter months. Since my Sienna is not registered in one of the standard recall states, I never received a recall notice.

Wheel problem #3

Tl-the contact owns 2007 Toyota Sienna. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number:14v273000 (tires). However, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Djr.

Wheel problem #4

Visit to dealer for service (cain Toyota, north canton, ohio) when dealer cut cable to spare tire to relocate to passenger compartment under recall #e1s. Toyota motor sales USA very slow to develop a permanent remedy for this recall- now nearly 6 months for my vehicle! I am suffering a major inconveniece of having to repeatedly move the spare tire in order to position the third row seats up or down. I question whether Toyota will ever develop a fix for the Sienna's spare tire problem!.

Wheel problem #5

I was parallel parking, backing into a parking space on a long bridge in a downtown/busy area. When I tapped the accelerator lightly to back up, my van suddenly lurched back (in reverse), accelerating so quickly I felt like I was in a rocket ship being lifted into the air. My wheel was turned in preparation for backing into the space. At a breakneck speed, my van accelerated in reverse, lurching up a large concrete step (all 4 tires), squealing erratically. Then it continued across a wide sidewalk/pedestrian area, the bumper hitting the bridge, immediately knocking about 20 feet of a concrete railing from the bridge into the river below. Luckily, my wheels basically bounced off the bottom portion of the bridge, which was secured by a large concrete block at the base of the bridge. This all happened in about 1 second. . . It didn't take long. The first thing I tried when this happened was hit the brakes. They didn't move. It was like they were locked. As my van bounced forward after it bounced off the concrete block, I was able to get it into park. I am lucky there were no pedestrians on the bridge, as they would have been crushed immediately by the concrete, and thrown into the river below. I'm also incredibly fortunate my van didn't continue in reverse, plunging itself, and me, into the river. It was a harrowing experience and two weeks later, I am still not quite past it. I am a safe driver and this is my first "real" accident in 25+ years of driving. My van is totaled.

Wheel problem #6

My spare tire fell off my vehicle while I was driving on i91 in vermont between exits 5 and 6 . The vehicle following me, which was being driven by my husband, struck the tire. It became lodged under his car damaging the air conditioning system. At the time of the incident we did not realize that it was the tire from my car. We pulled over to the shoulder we were able to dislodge the tire and continued on. After discussing what happened and inspecting the car did we realize that it was my spare. There was a recall for this completed by Toyota in 2011. This is a very dangerous situation with these cars and were very fortunate that something worse did not occur. We reported it to Toyota and are very disappointed in their response so far.

Wheel problem #7

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Toyota Sienna. The contact indicated that the frame and the spare tire carrier assembly was rusted to the point of corrosion. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who indicated that the part was not available for several months. The dealer provided an interim fix by removing the spare tire carrier assembly but did not remedy the recall repair. The tire was placed inside of the contacts vehicle by the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was also contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repairs. Dyd.

Wheel problem #8

Tire pressure light started to come on when all tire pressures actually are normal. The dealership can't resolve issue. Then I went to the website and found out NHTSA has opened a preliminary evaluation regarding 2004 and 2005 Sienna tire pressure and reglulating system. When driving on the highway the tire pressure light is on even if the pressure is ok. It is important to have it function correctly for a vehicle with a rft tire. I believe this needs to be recalled for safety. Otherwise you might not know when there is an issue with the tire pressure.

Wheel problem #9

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Sienna. The contact stated that all four tires would become flat every three to four months. The contact stated that the wheels contained a white substance which caused a metal reaction which broke the edge of the tire seals. The vehicle was taken to a tire center where the wheels were cleaned and re-mounted. The contact called the dealership and the manufacturer but was offered no assistance. The current and failure mileages were approximately 48,000.

Wheel problem #10

When I drive my car or make turns I hear a rubbing sound. My mechanic tells me that the wheel bearing hubs need to be replaced or the wheels will eventually fall off. Probably due from where and tare. I don't under why this would be an issue and why so soon on this car.
