Air Bag Light On problems of the 2007 Toyota Sienna

My 2007 Toyota Sienna airbag light has been blinking off and on for about 1 year, because it would do it on an inconsistent basis, I didn't get it checked because it would go off and then come one again. Today at 81,000 miles I took my car to get serviced for an oil change, so I had them diagnose the airbag light and they told me I needed a whole new air bag system that would cost me over $1300. 00 and I feel this is a safety issue and should be the responsibility of the manufacturer. The airbag system is not something a consumer have access to, to cause wear and tear. I've been driving my children around not realizing the whole system would need to be replaced. Should this be a recall because I am seeing several complaints in this model. And I am unsure how a recall is established but I feel this needs to be a recall.

I just bought a 2007 Toyota Sienna in March of 2018 it is in very good shape it only had 70,000 miles on it is why I bought it. But the dash lights keep coming on now the airbag light is on and the man said I needed a new air bag system. I'v only put about 7,000 miles on since I bought it. This is a safety issue this should not happen. Why is happening ? does anyone know about this issue or have any suggestions.

Air bag indicator comes on and off intermittently and appears to be corrected by moving loose wires under front seats. Wires look to have bad connection. Very unpredictable. This has been occuring since 59,000 miles for the past year. Can happen while vehicle is in motion or at rest. Toyota will not admit problem.

Air bag light on in the dash of my minivan . . The start like month ago but when off but know it's just flashing the light of the air bag please there something we can do to fix it. . . My miniva only have 86000 mills on it. . Never been in crash scene so. I don't know what's happening. . .

Airbag light on all the time.

The airbag light comes on and stays on when the vehicle is turned on. If the vehicle is turned off then back on, sometimes the light turns off. Other times, moving the connectors under the front seats causes it to turn off.

Driver air bag light is flashing at any speed and when standing. I check online, there were 13 same reported cases. Some said there was recall on this problem, but I have never received notice of recall from Toyota. Please let me know. This is a safety issue! Upon starting up the vehicle the drivers side airbag indicator began blinking instesd of going out. Called dealership who said it would be $60-$115 just to look at it and he couldn't imagine what it was. After looking online and seeing the high cost of repair and the number of complaints I will be taking to an independant mechanic to get his thoughts. Vehicle has not been in an accident so I do not feel as if this is a component that should go bad. And if it does the consumer should not have to pay for repair as this is a safety component.

Air bag light is flashing.

The airbag light came on in the dashboard; took the van to local dealer they diagnosed code p0116 2 part repair replacement of lf side air bag assembly and wiring harness replacement which cost over $1100;.

Front side airbag indicator turns on, then, it sometime off, sometime on. It continues like this way again and agin to today. Have it checked at Toyota dealer. They are not sure what's going on. Suggets replace the airbag.

Flashing airbag light in 2007 Sienna with ~90k miles. Dealer states front passenger airbag sensor failure - $700 to replace. Not under warranty; error code b0111. Many similar complaints found on the internet for 06/07 Siennas. Opted not to replace sensor due to concerns about it failing again. Cannot believe that Toyota does not stand behind its airbags more than the basic warranty. Have owned numerous vehicles (94 Acura for 7 yrs; 96 Mazda for 7 yrs; 01 BMW for 8 yrs; 03 Acura for 9 yrs) with no airbag problems ever. No one in my or my wife's family has ever had an airbag problem similar to this.

Flashing airbag light in 2007 Sienna with ~49k miles. Dealer suggested replace floor wire and air bag assembly - $3500 total. Not under warranty; error code b0116. Many similar complaints found on the internet for 06/07 Siennas. Cannot believe that Toyota does not stand behind its airbags more than the basic warranty when safely equipment failed less than 50k miles. The repair cost is too high which is a result of bad design. Safety equipment failure should be responsible by manufacture, especially the mileage is less than 50k. Have owned numerous vehicles with no airbag problems ever.

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Sienna. The contact stated that the air bag light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the dealer performed a diagnostic and located the failure at the passenger air bag sensor. The passenger air bag sensor disabled the air bag system. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but the vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 90,000.

Had 2007 Sienna serviced for blinking air bag light at Toyota dealership. Service dept. Stated that the sensor needed to be cleaned; charge was roughly $100 as the vehicle was over the 60,000/5 yr warranty. On 05/29/2012 car was serviced again for blinking air bag light; however, service dept. Stated that the light was not blinking at the time the car was serviced, so the problem could not be assessed. The air bag light came on again for the third time and we were informed that the wire on the passenger side needed to be replaced at a cost of $1,100. Funny how the light keeps coming on, but the problem could never be assessed, and now it costs $1,100 to fix. Needless to say, we are not having it fixed and we pray for no accidents--pretty scary. We have had nothing but problems with this vehicle and we will never purchase another Toyota.

Airbag lights came on and they replaced passenger seat air bag assy and wire floor.

Air bag light was on. Dealer had to replace p/s seat airbag.
