I had sever car accident while I am 7 months pregnant including my 5 years old sons . During the accident my airbag was not deployed which lead me hematoma in my uterus. That car is totally losses and the accident was severe . Thank god we put the sit belt and even if the frontdash board hit me bad . I will attach all the details of the accident and the police report. We tried to submit our complaint to Toyota and they refused to help . As if the air bug should not supposed to deploy with that kind of severe accident they say they don’t use this information .

2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 12/12/2020

Having a problem with Toyota Sienna tires, every 30k, I have to change new tires for my Sienna van. Tires won't last for long even though am doing a regular wheel alignment every 5000 miles and also water pump had to replaced with new water pump. It's cost us a lot. I did lot of repairs on my Sienna van, I have almost spent $10,000 for repairs work and total mileage on my van is not yet reached 90k.

3 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/06/2020

Starting about two years ago, the traction/abs lights come on between 20-35 mph on a gradual curve or randomly while driving. The brakes come on, like an abs event, even though the brakes are not applied. The car will jerk to the right or left and chatters/vibrates. The mechanic said the brakes, tire wear and pressure, and suspension are all in very good condition and there are not traction control or abs codes. This does not appear to be normal wear and is dangerous. We can only drive it on short trips for fear of getting in an accident. I decided to look online and found that hundreds of Toyota owners are experiencing the same symptoms. . Read more...

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/20/2017

I have a 2013 Toyota Sienna awd with 23,500 miles on it and my brakes just started scrapping. I took the vehicle to a dealer and was told the brakes and rotors were worn out and needed to be changed. Cost: $970 and change. A car with such low mileage should not need new brakes and rotors. The dealership could not give me a reason for the wear but insisted the work was necessary and that they had the car apart and ready to go. Because it is a 2013 there was no warrantee so I had to pay the entire bill out of pocket.

5 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/21/2016

The contact owns a 2013 Toyota Sienna. After starting the vehicle, it independently accelerated. In addition, all the warning indicators illuminated, the steering wheel seized, and the brakes did not function. The vehicle was able to stop after the emergency brake was applied. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.

6 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/30/2016

I bought my Sienna 12/27/2012. In October 2014 while driving home from lake tahoe, the car began shaking violently while traveling down hill. Upon returning home the car continued to shake anytime the brakes were applied. Took the car to the dealer and they said the rotors were warped and needed to be replaced. The car had $15k miles on it. This is unheard of. In July 2014 Toyota issued t-sb-0045-14 relating to this issue and recommended a "shim kit" as a repair. This was also added to my car. In may of 2016 while traveling down the grapevine from la the car again began to violently shake. Took the car back. Again, 15k miles and the rotors are warped and now we need new tires and back brakes too. My family has owed 14 Toyotas and we have never replaced rotors twice at 31,000 miles! there is clearly something wrong with the braking system of this car that is causing it to eat through brakes, rotors, and tires and the "fix" that Toyota has come up with is not fixing the problem!!.

7 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/23/2015

Brakes locked up while trying to leave a parking lot. Many warning lights came on including vsc, abs, and traction control and the computer said needs immediate service. The Toyota service manager said they've never seen this and that the actuator needs replaced. I've noted that there are 2 other instances of this issue and hope that this safety issue will be investigated. The NHTSA campaign number: 14v054000 that discusses: "an electrical component within the actuator may experience an increased resistance resulting in the illumination of various warning lights, including those for the vehicle stability control (vsc) system, antilock brake system (abs), and traction control system. " I've had this happen three times over the past four months. I've taken it to the shop and they've reset the code and could not find the issue. It keeps coming back. I believe the 14v054000 needs to be expanded to include my vehicle.

8 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2015

August 1 2015: driving straight and level, about 30 mph began to slow to turn and the brakes would not work. Peddle was soft, unsure if it went all the way to the floor. Pumping the brake did not have any noticeable effect. Needed to use pull off into a parking lot. Turned off the ignition and used the parking brake to stop. After a few minutes, everything seemed to be working normally again and drove home (about 3-4 miles) without further incident. Contacted dealership (vehicle still under warranty) and was told there are no current recalls on my vehicle and to bring the car in on Monday (incident occurred on a Saturday) for examination.

9 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/09/2015

Winter rear brake freeze up. Took the van to northtown Toyota today & was told by the service tech. That the van can't be washed in winter because it causes the rear brakes to freeze up. This has to be a manufacturing or design defect. We live in niagara falls, NY & the van gets extremely dirty in winter & needs washing regularly.

10 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2013

I've just finished reading the NHTSA campaign number: 14v054000 that discusses: "an electrical component within the actuator may experience an increased resistance resulting in the illumination of various warning lights, including those for the vehicle stability control (vsc) system, antilock brake system (abs), and traction control system. " I've had this happen three times over the past four months. I've taken it to the shop and they've reset the code and could not find the issue. It keeps coming back. I believe the 14v054000 needs to be expanded to include my vehicle.
