Front Suspension Control Arm problems of the 1996 Toyota Tacoma

Two problems related to front suspension control arm have been reported for the 1996 Toyota Tacoma. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 10/26/2002

Consumer states that while driving and without warning the ball joint snap causing the front driver side wheel to separate and the consumer will have to pull over. Dealer notified. Ts.

2 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2001

While turning left into a parking space left front of vehicle fell to ground. Dealer verified that front left ball joint broke. Similar to recall 96v129000.
