Five problems related to front suspension shock absorber have been reported for the 1996 Toyota Tacoma. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Top of the shock absorber mount detached from the frame because of metal failure.
Weakened shock absorbers caused the truck to bounce too much. Nlm.

Shock tower failed.
Erratic suspension system resulting premature tire wear and causing the truck to lift off the grounf when going arond small curves.
