This is a follow-up to odi numbers 10444039 & 10444967. After much work on my part, a Toyota factory representative examined the vehicle in question on three separate occasions. The factory represenative was able to reproduce the occurence twice. The solution or guess at the time, was to replace the automatic transmission. This was done on 3/12/12. The problem still occurs. I have experienced and documented the occurrence over 150 times since December 2010. Last contact with the Toyota executive branch deemed the vehicle to be operating as "designed". Final outcome was made after finding another vehicle (just one) like mine in the state of virginia. That vehicle was taken out and driven by a factory representative. That vehicle also shuddered while breaking to and maintaing the speed of 20mph. Final analysis/answer was that the computer had a problem with open and closed loops and a temperature involving 138 degree's. No further solutions were offered; vehicle "operating as designed". As of this date the vehicle in question has less then 19,000 miles and the following work has been done in an attempt to rectify that occurence "operating as designed"; 1) front rotors ground twice 2) a new transmission was installed 3) new rotors were placed on the vehicle to replace the ground ones.
