Fuel pump continued to run after the ignition switch was turned off on the 2010 Toyota Tacoma truck and the key removed from the vehicle. I inserted the key and turned the ignition on. . . I have a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 5 or 6 times over the past year I have gone out into the garage to find the fuel pump has started running on its own. I can take the keys out of the ignition with no results. The only way to stop it is to turn the ignition back on and then off again. Took to dealer who said they could find nothing and they said they have to duplicate the problem before they will investigate further. This would almost be impossible to be at the dealer when its parked.

Fuel pump was replaced on 1-20-94. But the check valve was never replaced. Dealer who repaired vehicle was insisting that vehicle was repaired correctly. Dealer was giving consumer hard time.
