general problems of the 2000 Toyota Tundra

I am seeking replacement parts for airbags components and sensors and clockspring and repairs. Only had two warrant issues up to this date. Hit a power pole going 55mp,broke the pole in half. Airbags did not deploy,seat belt did not engage. I hit my face on the glass and the steering wheel,nearly broke my face. My dog was in the back thankfully. My hips took the brunt of the impact, they still hurt. A idaho state trooper investigated with video showing our totaled truck around a broken pole, no air bag or seat belt employed,my smashed face covered in blood. Did a little research and found that our 2000 Tundra isnt in a recall???what does it take to set off a Tundra airbag?? also found out that I should be thankful it didnt go off or I may have been injured by a discharge of schrapnel??found several victims of that. My wife takes a blood thinner and often goes with me to town,but now shes not going to be able to safely ride in her own vehicle anymore?? this reminds me of how cps drops the ball and just lets kids die before they ever do anything. I will be doing alot more with my pen as my sword my video as my witness,I loved my Tundra but this is more way more dangerous than my 1990 truck with basic mechanics. If you have a Tundra or other vehicle that is dangerous ,speak out about it,get an attorney,save someones life. These are dangerous airbags,no doubt in my mind. Ps our truck is 100% unmodified other than tire changes. Now a death trap, until this is resolved.

Head to head collision. Both vehicles on u. S. Highway rt. 40. In break position, my vehicle was not in motion at the time of impact. Other vehicle was in motion approaching from opposite direction traveling approximately 40 mph. Both vehicles were left inoperable.

Takata recall. 2000 model year appears not included in the recall, yet the breadth of the instances of failure to inflate properly appears extensive for vehicles involved in an accident.

Consumer called complaining about the air bags on the vehicle. Also stated that was involved on a collision where the air bags on the vehicle did not deploy at the time of the impact. Dealer was not contacted at the time of this call. Ts.

This truck has defects in the steeing,tires,brakes, airbags,and hadling. At 6244 miles,steer tires were at 6/32(12/32 new)coplained to deler they said normal tire wear,needs rotated! this front end slid, sqeeled,jumps around corners!two eng. Tom superitts&lee hammler from k. C. Corp. Says nothing wrong with truck!there boss steve eisbamrth will now buy me tires but won't admit the is a problem. This offer didn't happen untill I told them I was turing this in to NHTSA, then they wanted to keep me quiet. I am ready to turn this truck back to them because of there bad customer service and bad product. Bottom line on safety corners on wet pavement like on patches of ice when I was involved in accident, brakes vibrated, tires slid, and on impact rt. Bumper bent in to tire rt. Fender creased both air bags did not come out. This truck should go in for further testing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (dot number: ap72ew1123 tiresize: p265/70r16).
