1 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Recently had to replace and pay for replacing srs sensor assembly dtc b0133 short in in p?r squib and b1100 air bag sensor. Old unit serial # 12625229if. I was told that my truck was not on the recall list so Toyota would not pay to replace it. Since it is the same issue for the recall, why is my vehicle excluded if it is the same safety concern? I cud have been a victim of this defect. The new unit serial # is 01860095if.

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2009

The contact owns a 2002 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that the air bag warning light consistently illuminated on the instrument control panel. As a consequence in a situation that warrants the frontal air bags could fail to deploy, which increased the risk if a serious injury. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and a technician concluded that the airbag sensor in the floor board needed to be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired. The current and failure mileages were 186000.
