After having had my tires rotated & balanced twice,I was told by the mechanic that it is possible that the tire belts are possibly starting to separate. While driving on the interstate at highway speeds the tires vibrate the armrest and the rear view mirror. . . At times very violently.
Tl the contact owns a 2003 Toyota Tundra equipped with definity dakota h/t tires, size: p265/70r17. The contact stated that all four tires would deflate rapidly. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 12t013000 (tires). Pep boys inspected the tires and stated that they were not included in the recall. The contact showed pep boys the recall letter and they kept it, stating that they had no way to copy the letter in order to return the original to the contact. The vehicle failure mileage was 160,000. The tire failure mileage was unknown.
Recemt rainy weather in southern California have shown the oem tires b. F. Goodrich tires 265/70r16 rugged trail on my 2003, Toyota Tundra to be dangerous. These tires not only show significant wear, at only 17000 miles, but dangerously slip and slide on wet roads. On 2 separate occasions, in wet conditions, my truck slipped off the roadway. One occasion, resulting in damage to my front bumper. At first opportunity I replaced these tires with bridgestone, dueler at revos, an exceptional tire in wet conditions. Toyota should be alerted to (1) the rapid wear condition of these oem tires and (2) the potential danger in wet conditions.
The truck has a severe pull to the right while driving. This occurs because an incorrect tire size was installed on the truck at the factory. Consumer has gone through arbitration, in which the manufacture is blaming on to the dealership and not correcting the problem .
