I have tried for months to get this airbag replaced with no luck. I keep getting these recall notices with instructions I try to follow and here's the results so far: after texting "fix" to 877-427-0285 several times, nothing happened. Months later, I get some bizarre text from a number I don't recognize asking for my address saying I need to respond within 10 minutes. After asking who it was, another number texts me asking for the same info with no explanation as to who they are and they refused to say. I've called Toyota of tumwater a few times and, at first, they couldn't schedule me for an appointment until some two months out. In the most recent call they needed my home address and phone number, which I'm not inclined to give but did in hopes of getting this resolved, but then they needed my full VIN. If that's the case, why isn't it on the [xxx] recall notice? you listed the last 8 digits so clearly you have it. I texted "fix" to the number listed again this morning and finally get a response from "cindy" who asks for either the full VIN or the recall id. I share the recall id and told I need to send the full VIN. After a lot of back and forth, I'm told there's no recall option and I need to drive to another town. What do you mean there's no recall option? why are these instructions included in these mailings? do you people think we memorize VIN numbers? you say this repair is "urgent" "serious injury" "death" then why are there so many difficult steps involved in getting this [xxx] thing replaced? three easy steps to schedule is an outright lie. I've never had this much trouble with a recall. I've never had to provide a VIN just to get a [xxx] appointment. I need help getting this resolved. Our Tundra had a frame recall and it was the dealers decision on whether or not to replace dram or just cover up with undercoating. We disagreed with the decision to undercoat as the deal was showing signs of extensive rust. Now, our frame is extremely dangerous to the point of falling away from the body. Just about all parts under the truck have now suffered as well. We have never had the truck launch a boat, gone off road, or any other dangerous activities. Basically a train station and dump run vehicle. I am terribly disappointed with Toyota and their poor handling of the situation. Basically they told me that I would be responsible for the super expensive frame replacement; too bad. Engine, body, and interior are in great shape. I need help as I 1) cannot afford to pay for their mistake and 2) can't afford to replace this truck and it is vital for us. Just found out today that the frame is disintegrating quickly when we brought car to shop for a steering issue which we now find out was caused by excessive rust. Thank you.

And I told them the owner henry watford. Has copd and is on oxygen. And could not wait 3-4 hours. . And she said well if he can not drive couple hours. Why is he even going to fix the air bag?/.
We received a recall letter some time in November for our Toyota Tundra. I reached out to steven Toyota in harrisonburg virginia shortly after receiving the letter. I was told they needed to order the part and would call back when received. I never received a call from steven Toyota, and have been attempted to get this resolved with multiple calls to the dealership since early January. The calls to the service department either go to voice mail or are hung up on after multiple rings. I finally got a hold of a service person on January 30th, who said they would call back in ten minutes when they found out information. I never received a call. I attempted to call back today, and the call went to voice mail. I do have a record of attempted phone log on my phone. I called stevens back and told the receptionist I would be filing a complaint, and she responded " I'm sorry for your inconvenience. ".
In response to the recent recall, I scheduled an appointment at round rock Toyota. I was told they would not complete the repair because "the new ones have been recalled also" and to wait until next year. They refused to remedy.

" both Toyota and the Toyota dealership are refusing to do the pickup.
Takata recall I called in to my local Toyota dealership about having the defective airbag replaced and it has been 3 weeks since we called in. They still have yet to call us back to inform us that our parts have come and when we call they just tell us that they have not received the parts for the fix. Worried about my passengers safety and I have not other way of transportation to wait any longer for it to be fixed.

Takata recall I have tried since Aug. 2015 to get my husband's truck to a dealer to have the airbag replaced. Every time I call to make an appt. I am told they don't have the replacements in and will put his name on a call list. I have yet to receive a call. I call about every couple weeks. I keep getting letters and post cards asking me to get this fixed, but if Toyota isn't sending the replacement bags how can I get this done. Tried of waiting!!.
Toyota instructed me not to allow an occupant in the passenger seat until the airbag is repaired, rendering the vehicle useless for me. I can't even sell the vehicle due to the recall. I need to travel in a high humidity area for an extended period of time, but they have ignored my requests for airbag repair.
Takata recall - I was contacted by Toyota concerning the air bag recall earlier this year. My first letter arrived on 7/18/2015. I have contacted Toyota several time to find out when the airbag can be replaced. I was told they have no idea when the part will arrive and no idea when my car can be repaired. This is unacceptable. I use my truck for business and is currently losing money because I can not drive the vehicle. I informed Toyota of this issue and was not given priority or any consideration for my inconvenience. This has not only cost me in time and money, but I feel the service I received is not acceptable as well. I wish I could sale the truck but nobody was a truck with a defective airbag. I am one unhappy customer due to this airbag recall. I can no longer say or support Toyota as a good auto maker. At the end of the day, once the airbag is replaced I will sale the truck and will no longer purchase a Toyota product. Thank you lacy smith 614-327-6250 lacy. Smith@herrealtors. Com.

I received a notice for the airbag recall on my 2004 Toyota Tundra access cab pickup several months ago. The notice recommended that I do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. I don't understand how I am suppose to do this when my vehicle only fits 2 adults. Why hasn't Toyota offered a buy back on there vehicles if they can fix it in a reasonable amount of time? I would like a fix for my vehicle ASAP or a safe rental until the meantime.

My Toyota Tundra is part of the air bag recall. My Toyota dealership does not have the part and may not have it for 10 days. In the intern, they have removed my passenger airbag and now no one can ride in the passenger side front seat until the recall repair has been completed. I have a family of 5 so now I can only ride 3 passengers in my vehicle. It has become a major inconvenience for me and my family. I requested a rental from my dealership but they declined. I contacted Toyota directly yesterday(1-888-270-9371) and was told to expect a call back within 24 hours. The 24 hours have passed and no contact back from Toyota.

The blowout panel on the passenger dash airbag has become very tacky and gooey. The finish comes off when rubbed.
I am disabled and I keep receiving recall notices about airbags, and frame recalls from Toyota, but the local dealers tell me that they do not have the parts to fix them. I am unable to carry anyone in the passenger seat because of safety advisories and this is affecting the value of my vehicle, and risk of injury to myself and any passengers I may carry, and insurance coverage because of the recall notifications. I suffered diligently to pay for this vehicle and now I find it's an unsafe piece of junk that I cannot use. I really want this vehicle fixed or replaced with one that is not unsafe.
