Safety recall notice received on this vehicle in may, 2015 for defective airbag. I called the eastern shore Toyota dealership, daphne, al and spoke to service tech. Benjamin. Benjamin said Toyota is not manufacturing the parts for the recalled airbags so the airbag can not be repaired at this time. Benjamin said the parts manufacturer will not make parts until September 2015. This is a dangerous situation. The dealership refused to make the repair as stated in the safety recall notice I received in the mail. The recall notice specifically states to not drive the vehicle due to the problems with the humidity and airbag deployment causing serious injury or potential death to anybody in the passenger seat of the vehicle. The manufacturer of the part is taking so much time to send the parts to make repairs.

Unable to get Toyota air bag recall fixed. . I called & have schedule 2 times( past months), and this morning ,to check status on appointment. Toyota, did not have records of an appointment. We have been trying to get the air bag replacements for the recall done. So far none are available. We received the recall letter from Toyota and it has the warning not to let anyone ride in the passenger side. This has made our vehicle unable to be used for most of 2015. We only put 1,000 miles on it. With them giving us the warning the vehicle is not safe and if we were to have an accident Toyota's liability would be void since they sent out a notification letter per our attorney. I want them to buy back our vehicle so we can replace it with a truck that is safe for us to use. As it now e cannot sell it and avoid the liability if something should happen with the new owner. My husband had an accident last January and neither of the airbags deployed.

I received a recall for airbag actuators in the right front. I took my vehicle to treasure coast Toyota on November 5,2014 at which time they disabled the air bag system and told me that the parts would be in and repairs would be done within 2 weeks. It is now March 6th 2015 and I`m still waiting for this to be resolved. It is my understanding from the dealership that the parts are on indefinite back order!!! I was told by the customer service rep on or around Feb. 27th 2015 that the parts for my 2005 vehicle were the only ones on back order. I would like to have this problem fixed.

2005 Toyota Tundra limited, I was hit back right middle of tire, caving in truck bed, losing complete control of vehicle, axle and transmission dismantled, went into a 360 spin with back tires completely bent and no control. Then hit head on at a high rate of speed over 35-45 mph. With air-bags not going off! truck was completely rebuilt with hidden cost not released to me. Resulting in truck being rebuilt, when it should've been totaled-out. Still waiting major back surgery after 15 months, loss of work. Insurance companies "hiding" hidden bills that would made my truck over 80% totaled. I need answers and help on why my air bags didn't deploy saving my life I once had, and bills that I didn't have! and yet Toyota signs off on my car saying it's safe to drive again with my children on the highways. And now front-end bearings are the #2 recall for the truck resulting in more damage and cost and safety to my family. Please help, if anyone has had problems with air-bag deployment not going off on this state of the art Toyota Tundra truck!.
