1 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 03/24/2016

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v286000 (air bags). The vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs, but the contact had to wait a long period of time. In addition, the contact noticed that the module behind the dashboard did not belong to the vehicle. The contact believed that the passenger side air bag was replaced with a refurbished air bag. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

2 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 08/24/2015

We received a notification regarding a safety recall for our Toyota Tundra 2006. It says that Toyota doesn't currently have the parts to repair the passenger side airbag which may be under pressure and could deploy at anytime. We were advised not to utilize the passenger side of our vehicle until we are contacted for a repair. This advise has not been possible since we have another car in the shop and we have needed to commute together. We do not feel that we should have to rent a car. It's unreasonable that Toyota would expect their loyal customers to "wait" for a repair that is their responsibility and in the meantime not use their vehicle. It has been over three weeks since we received the recall notification and we have not heard from Toyota that our repair can be scheduled. We believe that Toyota has failed to remedy the defect within a reasonable time and we want this recall to be remedied immediately for the safety of our family. Thank you.

3 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2015

I received recall notice for defective pass side airbag approx. 4to5 months ago. Saying not to allow anyone to ride in front pass side of vehicle. I have called dealer twice and was told they do not have parts to repair yet. I feel like im getting the run around. This is very inconvenient for us not to have use of one front seat.

4 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2015

Not long after the last takata recall,NHTSA campaign 15v286000, the passenger side airbag cover became sticky and discolored - my local Toyota dealer who performed the recall and the Toyota corporation said it is not a Toyota issue. An internet search reveals owners of a variety of auto manufacturers have the same complaint. It is my understanding that any defects related to airbag components could pose a potential safety hazard. Please advise if this constitutes a " safety problem " and any known remedy.
