general problems of the 2007 Toyota Tundra

The vehicle did not pass PA state inspection due to broken front shock mounts and severe frame corrosion.

I have been involved in two rear end accidents that I pressed the brake down with no response and ended up in a minor accident going less than 10 miles per hour each time. Also my running lights stop working and have had 4 wheel drive get stuck in that position until I had to look at the book to free it but no longer use it.

My lights are on and when taken to the dealership they said it was a recall.

2007 Toyota Tundra. While driving approximately 40 mph, the check engine, esc, and vsc warning indicators illuminated as I was entering the freeway then the vehicle started to lose power and would not accelerate more than 60mph, the truck went into a limp mode. I reset the ecm by disconnecting the battery but it came back. The approximate failure mileage was 71k. This issue is all over the internet and should be covered by emissions warranty. Called the dealer and it is not covered by federal emissions warranty after 10yrs. Not good!.

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that his vehicle vibrates while driving between 60-70 mph. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnosis on October 12, 2007, in which two wheels were rotated and balanced. The dealer's invoice did not specify whether the front or rear wheels were balanced. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer several times, because the vibration persists. In addition, both exterior mirrors have a sharp plastic edge and the contact's forehead was cut while vacuuming the vehicle. The dealer was unable to correct the vibration and felt that the contact being injured by the mirror edge was humorous. The manufacturer took a report, but did not offer any assistance. The recall on my 2007 Toyota Tundra for rusted frame was inspected by the dealer who said they would spray it with rust prohibitive. I was a mechanic for many years and if the frame is not stripped down and sandblasted to metal there is no guaranteed method to stop the rusting. Toyota should be made to replace all the frames otherwise in a few years there will be more broken frames on the roads. I don't know if your office was involved in the class action suite but I am reasonable sure lawyers and judges no nothing of mechanics or engineering. I plan of keeping my truck for many more years and if the frame fails then I will getting legal counsel for a recourse to some entity be it government or commercial. If you all take your jobs seriously than this needs to be resolved soonest before Toyotas are falling apart on the highways and killing people. They made the error and they should pay for it not us!!!!.

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Tundra. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle would veer towards the right. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Toyota dealer for an alignment. After repairs, the sidewall of the tires exhibited premature wear. The dealer advised there were no failures within the vehicle. The contact stated the tires were replaced three times and the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for further inspection but again, the failure could not be duplicated. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 71,000.

2007 Toyota Tundra. Consumer states cruise control does engage and then will not disengage brakes. The consumer stated the brakes would not hold at stop signs and the vehicle would move forward. The vehicle had electrical shorts in the wiring such as; the headlights, clock, cigarette lighter, alarm and door locks. The seat belts would not always latch. The windshield wipers would not activate, there was a severe shake coming from the front of the vehicle as well as when the brakes were applied. There was a noise coming from the 4-wheel drive, the steering would act erratic and the accelerator pedal became stuck which caused the consumer to have an accident while backing out of his driveway. .
