1 Instrument Panel problem

The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that the instrument clusters and the radio were replaced; however, immediately after starting the vehicle they failed to function. The dealer informed him to bring the vehicle in to be repaired. The VIN was not available. The Toyota manufacturer was not called. The failure mileage was 25,000.

2 Instrument Panel problem

Failure Date: 10/20/2008

The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Tundra. While driving at approximately 15 mph through a puddle of water, service lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact pulled over and turned the vehicle off; upon restart, some of the service lights turned off. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the computer system was replaced. The contact also stated that upon starting the vehicle, the check engine light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the contact was informed that water was in the vacuum pump. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The failure mileage was 9,197. The current mileage was 54,846.
