1 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 09/14/2008

I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra double cab with 14,000 miles on it. At highway speeds (65+mph) there is a terrible bounce in the bed of the truck. At times, it is so bad that I feel like I might lose control of the vehicle and must slow down well below the speed limit. I had my tires balanced and the problem still exists. I cannot take passengers on long highway trips because they get nauseous. I am worried that this will cause myself or someone else with a Tundra to become injured or die. This has been happening since I purchased the vehicle six months ago when it had 8,000 miles on it.

2 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2008

Driving on interstate 40 (east of oklahoma city) truck develops a violent vibration. The bed appears to be bouncing up and down - side to side. Incident occurrs everytime I drive this strtch of road. Tires have been inspected and balanced (no improvement to rough, dangerous ride).

3 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 06/12/2008

The vehicle has a violent bounce that is not normal. I own previous versions of the Toyota Tundra and the bounce is not an issue. Over the same freeways the new Toyota Tundra 2008 has an extremely violent bounce to a point where I can't even sit back in the chair. I have lean forward to avoid the back ache. I can't even put my baby niece in the car because, her head will start bouncing everywhere. The problem needs to be addressed and fixed by Toyota.

4 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2008

The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Tundra. The contact noticed that the rear of the vehicle bounced drastically while driving between 60-70 mph. In addition, the tires were becoming worn and needed constant rotation. Toyota was aware of the failures, but does not have a remedy. They suggested that the road conditions may be at fault. The contact is concerned that a crash could occur. The current mileage was 18,900 and failure mileage was 10,000.

5 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 12/23/2007

We recently bought an 2008 Toyota Tundra v6 4x2 double cab. I noticed a terrible bed bounce that makes us the passengers and driver dizzy and nauseated. I personally feel it is not a safe truck because this can cause road accidents. I went to the dealer and had this complaint but they say it is the trucks normal characteristic and nothing can be done. I don't think owning and driving an expensive truck just to feel dizzy and nauseated is normal. Can you please help us with this. Toyota should do something to correct this for safety. If I have a pregnant woman riding this car, she will probably have an abortion due to the bed bounce.
