1 Structure problem

Failure Date: 05/05/2011

Tl- the contact owns 2008 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated the vehicle was rear end and when it was repaired, the plug in used to haul a trailer no longer working properly. The parts used were Toyota parts. The design of the new plug is wider and it causes the electrical cable to hang further and the trailer lights to go in and out. The electrical cables will also pull out on their own causing the vehicle not to have electricity to the trailer being hauled. The contact has asked that the old design be put back on, but the manufacturer stated they no longer have the old design. This causes the trailer not to have tail lights or brake lights. The failure mileage and current mileages were 40,000.

2 Structure problem

Failure Date: 12/22/2008

I just bought my 2008 Tundra and have noticed an incredible bounce while driving on the freeway. This does not seem normal and concerns me. The tires have been rotated and balanced and this doesn't seem to change the bounce effect. After reading online, it appears that Toyota is familiar with this problem. I hope they fix it soon. I have taken the cars to two dealerships and they said it was normal. I have own 4 Toyota trucks and none had this problem! I just hope that Toyota realizes that there is a major problem before an accident or death happens!.

3 Structure problem

Failure Date: 09/13/2008

Paint on 2008 Tundra crewmax is terrible quality. "this is my first new vehicle purchase and I am for the most part very happy with my 08 pyrite mica crewmax purchase. My only problem with this truck is you got it, the paint job. Don't get me wrong its a beautiful color, but man is this paint fragile. I have 408 miles on this truck and have leaned against it a few times loading and unloading items from the side and have scratches that are very noticeable from brushing against the side with blue jeans. For a truck with a 44,000 msrp, you would think it would have a better quality paint job than this, this is bs. My 98 chevy original paint is much tougher than this. Toyota is going have to do better than this if they expect a repeat purchase from me. I realize certain chemicals have been banned from the painting process in the states, but we've got to do better with today's technology this shouldn't be happening. ".

4 Structure problem

Failure Date: 06/16/2008

I have owned my 2008 Toyota Tundra for 6 weeks now and love my truck!! the only problem is with the factory paint job. The paint on this vehicle scratches far too easy. If a hose rubs on it, or if someone's jacket rubs along the vehicle, it will scratch all the way down to the metal! I understand that this is a pickup truck, but Toyota should stand behind the quality of their work.

5 Structure problem
