Yokohama tire blow out while driving 65 mph 5 Feb 2017. Yokohama p275/65r18 geolander hts. Read tire, sidewall rupture. No road hazard contact. Tires purchased from tread quarters in hampton va Aug 2016. Approx. 7000 miles on the tires.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem #2

The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that the tpms warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic where it was diagnosed with needing the tpms replaced however, the vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 11v185000 (tires) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
