I took my Tundra in for a oil change and the dealer ship said I have oil leak at the timing belt. It would be over 1600. 00 to fix this. It is time consuming for the labor rate is high. The truck only has 45,000 miles on it.
This complaint is the same as many I see here and across the internet. Driving on the washington DC beltway and my 2012 Tundra goes into limp mode which reduced my power significantly causing a unsafe situation to say the least. . Dealer said problem was with secondary air injection system and the repair was very expensive. Now 12 months later the truck is having the same problems. This is an inferior system that Toyota should stand behind and cover all the costs associated with fixing instead of charging Tundra owners after they've already spent hard earned money on the vehicle purchase. This is a wide spread problem that Toyota is not owning up to.
