1 Delivery Fuel Pump problem of the 2017 Toyota Tundra

The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that after attempting to start the vehicle, the engine failed to engage. The contact stated that after several attempts, the vehicle started. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump and the cpu failed, and the fuel pump needed to be replaced and the cpu needed to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that he used a code reader to diagnose the vehicle where it indicated that an ethanol fuel type had been detected instead of regular fuel to refuel the vehicle however, the contact stated that the system was confused, and that ethanol was not the fuel type that was used. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000. The VIN was unavailable.
