5 Visibility problem of the 2012 Toyota Venza

Failure Date: 05/13/2013

I purchased the 2012 Venza in June of 2012 with high hopes. The options and look were phenomenal. However, there is definitely a safety issue with this vehicle. In oct. Of 2012 the rear passenger window burst while driving down a highway. Today, 05/13/13, I started the car and put it in reverse and the rear window shattered. My concern now - I have a sunroof and panoramic window which I am concerned will have the same issues. Toyota needs to up their expectations - just because they purchased gm doesn't mean they can lower the standards.

6 Visibility problem of the 2009 Toyota Venza

Failure Date: 03/28/2013

The sun visor position retaining clip separated from the plastic molding and the visor will not remain up. The visor impedes visibility to the front. It can be moved out of the way to the left but that partially blocks my view of the side mirror. Since the visor is freely swinging sometimes it stops tilted toward the driver. In the event of a crash this could result in head injury. The loss of visibility toward the front is significant for drivers with a higher seating position. From several forums this appears to be an issue from at least the 2008 to 2010 Toyota model years across all models.
