Parked car sitting untouched, came out in the morning to a 2 foot wide spiderweb crack across the whole windshield. Saw through research that this is a common issue with Toyota Venzas of this year. Toyota refused to help or assist with this issue even though there was no impact and this is a repeated customer issue.

A large crack appeared on the windshield of my 2021 Toyota Venza. Due to this being a safety issue when driving the vehicle, so I looked into having it repaired by a local shop. When the Venza was taken to the repaired, the repair shop notified me that the issue didn't originate from a rock/chip. The issue was with the windshield or the windshield installation. After a quick google search, it came to my attention that this is a frequent issue with this year and make. There are class action lawsuits about this issue. This needs to be addressed by Toyota.

Purchased a 2011 Toyota Venza almost 28 days ago. I haven't even made my first payment for my car loan. The rain here in florida has shown that it is raining inside my vehicle. I have contacted the dealer, I have contacted my insurance company. I have done research and it's a known issue with this vehicle. I need help in correcting this. I am not driving the vehicle because it was shorting out the electric in the car. I have a tarp over it now. Can you point me in the direction of where to turn?.

Spontaneous crack in the windshield without any external mechanixal force, such as rock, hale, or any other foreign body.
The left head light has failed. As a result, these are the functionality issues I am experiencing: 1. Loss of power to power mirrors. This causes issues because the mirrors do not retract, and have to be manually adjusted before each drive session. They have folded in while driving, causing hazardous driving conditions without use of the mirrors. 2. Windshield wiper fluid dispenser has lost functionality, causing hazardous driving conditions because I am unable to remove debris and liquid that obstructs my vision while driving. 3. Windshield wipers will only work on one setting, being the fastest setting 4. Dash panel not displaying information such as temperature, trip information, and proper odometer readings. Low fuel notifications not showing properly. I almost ran out of fuel because I was unaware or actual fuel levels 5. Lift gate not opening from key fob 6. Neither headlight will operate in "bright" mode, despite only one head light being compromised. This is a major issues that has affected many Venza drivers. There are a multitude of reports on reddit and other forums that discuss these issues. What's worse, is that Toyota has tied critical electrical components and functionality to a single headlight, which happens to be very costly to remedy (over $1000k). There were no warnings present, just issues identified after the headlight failure, and these are only the ones I have discovered thus far. This needs to be recalled.

I bought this vehicle when new in 2021 and I started to see people complain about the quality of the windshield and how they were getting cracks from rocks on it. I’m [xxx] , and never had a windshield replaced in my life. After seeing people post this, I added windshield coverage to my car. Last year I had a rock hit my windshield and it cause a small star like crack. Right away I called the insurance company and was able to take care of it that day. Few days ago I hear another rock ding. Had nobody in front of me but think it was from the car on the side of me kicked it up. Some time passed and I saw the crack coming down the middle of the next morning it was even longer. From the top of the window down past my camera. I have an appointment for replacement this week. What I was reading seems to be true. Never in my life had I have this happen, had plenty of rocks hit my vehicles over the year. Never had one crack. I know they exist but seeing it form a lot of Venza owners tells you something. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
This morning, I noticed a crack on the windshield of my 2021 Toyota Venza. The car was parked outside in the cold, and it seems like there’s some issue with the Toyota windshields, as it cracked for no apparent reason.
On 1/1/25 around 5pm when it was getting dark, I was driving in my 2022 Toyota Venza le on the highway in the rain when all of a sudden my left headlight off, windshield wipers stopped working and experienced a host of other electrical issues - engine temp doesn't read, apple carplay stopped talking to device, side mirrors lost power, traction control disabled. It was very dangerous as I lost visibility in heavy rain while on the highway. I was able to slowly drive the car home with hazard lights blinking all the way. There were no error messages leading up to the failure. Only my engine temp not being able to read when the engine was cold that morning. It quickly resolved once the engine warmed up. I drove my car to Toyota dealership in which they spent over a day isolating the issue to faulty headlight assembly sending error codes to the ecu and jamming other zones on the car. They unplugged the left headlight assembly and told me I was ok to drive home. Ultimately I asked for replacement of the headlight and the light was restored and all issues did not return. I no longer have the original headlight assembly for inspection. I made a forum post regarding this issue and 2 other recent Venza owners have reached out to me with same behavior which prompted me to make this safety report.
The front windshield developed a thin, foot-long crack at the bottom base of the windshield during the onset of the cold weather this winter. This issue inhibits visibility and compromises the integrity of the windshield. Message boards on the internet indicate that it has happen with this make and model of vehicle frequently.
With no impact, our windshield cracked. I see many, many other owners of 2021 and later Toyota Venza have had this happen to them. This is clearly a large problem, so I'm hoping that by reporting our incident you will be encouraged to investigate further. Please let me know if you need any additional information, but the key points are that there has been no impact to the windshield that we are aware of, and the windshield cracked while driving. Thank you for your attention t this matter.
Traveling interstate 64 hampton virginia with 2023 Venza (9/27/2024) a stone hit the windshield and immediately spidered across the window.

Hit by a very small rock. Started with a small fracture about 8 inches long and after 8 hours the crack has multiplied to be about 16-18 inches.
The front glass (windshield) on the passenger side was broken; I got into the car, I turned it on and suddenly I heard a loud clicking noise and dirt came out from the top to the middle, disgonally, I emphasize the car was not moving.
A small rockchip hit the windshield and caused a crack which quickly began to grow at an alarming rate. The crack grew to about the size of half the windshield in a one day time. The windshield is very surprisingly fragile.
I was driving down the freeway and my windshield unexpectedly cracked. I was not struck by a rock or other object, it cracked out of nowhere.
Huge crack developed suddenly in windshield. This is the third repair I have had to make. This windshield seems to crack easily - even the slightest hit damages the windshield. With this crack I can feel the separation in the glass. It’s dangerous. Doing a simple internet search reveals this as a known issue.
I have been driving this car for over a year and have not had any impact, collision or any kind of accident. Last week I noticed a crack around the windshield. I starts from the bottom, up towards the middle and arcs toward the driver side. There is no point of contact or any indication that a small/tiny rock fell on it. At first I thought it was a rain drop that rolled down on the windshield but after cleaning both inside and outside, I realized it was a crack.
Windshield crack for no resend. No impact at all. Car was parked.
Recently while driving on sunrise highway in longisland newyork I got multiple hits by bolder, one bolder made a crack which is almost 18 inches now and increasing.
I recently bought this car and without any reason have a crack on my windshield I have read many people who have had similar issues and gets worse after replacement having to replace their windshield many times. I am concerned at the safety of the cars windshield and its defect nature. Also have issues with visibility with wipers not clearing rain effectively on the drivers side.
Windshield has severe cracking without being struck by anything.
There looks like 4 or 5 lines of top layer crack like stretch marks on the windshield in 3 different locations. It doesnt look like a normal crack when it was hit by a rock. And they are scratchy and scratching the windshield wiper blades.
Toyota 2021 Venza has faulty windshield glass the prematurely cracks under no external impact. In fact, the car was parked and when I came back, there was a crack on the windshield. Several owners have reported similar issue with similar failure patterns mode. There's also pending class action law suit for this issue.
Winsheild cracked out of no where. Driving on i95.
My windshield cracked and was replaced twice for some unknown reason. First in 2021 and now 2023.
A small crack appeared on the windshield driver side of vehicle. I have no recollection of any items or debris hitting the car and damaging it. I then searched online and found there have been many registered instances of this specific car model windshield (2021 and newer) either easily cracking or seemingly cracking under no impact.
Recently purchased with 35,000 miles as a certified used vehicle. At 36,000 miles, have noticed a cracked windshield that runs the width of the windshield just above where the wiperblades sit. There is no visible mark on the outside from anything hitting it. After looking on line, I have found that this seems to be a known issue for the Venza.
The roof panoramic glass shattered for no apparent reason. Passengers in the car could have been harmed insurance has approved the repair. There was no warning or indication of failure.
When driving after dark it looks like a shade got pulled down over 1/2 of the windshield plus another black spot under that. I took it to the dealership and they said they have had many complaints. I had them adjust the headlamps up a little bit but now everyone is blinking brites at me and even pulling off the road the next thing will be a road rage driver. It is impossible to drive after dark without the brites on you can not see road signs because the headlamps aim down if you go down a hill all you see is a few feet ahead it is definately a severe safety concern Toyota dealer said it was the way the headlight is designed and if they get enough complaints they might do something but right now my new car I bought is sitting in my garage because it is not d safe to drive except during the day I have had other people in the car and they all say the same thing (who pulled the shade down) its that bad.
Driving at 45mph alone on a paved road. Outside temperature 85f. Suddenly a crack appeared on the driver side of the windshield (about halfway up from hood). Crack was initially about 3 to 4 inches long. By the time I got home (10 miles - about 15 minutes) the crack was 24 inches long and still growing. Failed component: windshield risk? degraded driver vision, possibility of glass flying into passenger compartment reproduced: not yet, it happened Saturday afternoon. Inspected: not yet it happened Saturday afternoon warning lamps? no.
Windshield without any chips cracked while sitting in my driveway, presumably due to the heat of the day. It was 85 degrees. The crack starts at the drivers side edge and extends to just past the rear view mirror from 4 to 6 inches from the bottom edge of the windshield.
