Defective windshield that is a safety hazard. Makes it hard to judge distance to the curb or vehicle next to you. Fear getting into accident with current windshield however Toyota states it is normal even though it distorts your vision when driving. After five months Toyota has done nothing to correct the defect and ensure my safety while driving their car.

3 Wiper problem of the 2018 Toyota Yaris

Failure Date: 04/06/2018

The headlights do not shine far enough to the left or right when approaching a 90 degree left or right turn at night. I noticed this right after I bought the car. I have been driving for over 40 years and owned many vehicles and have never had any difficulty seeing when I was making a turn. I'm sure it is not the lights needing adjustment. It is a very bad design on the headlights and also very dangerous. There is no doubt in my mind that there will be many accidents because of the headlight design. I believe this flaw should be re-called and repaired.

16 Wiper problem of the 2010 Toyota Yaris

Failure Date: 05/12/2014

Was hit from behind by a pickup truck going 40mph while I was stopped at an intersection. I was 5 months pregnant at the time. I was propelled into oncoming traffic where my right side passenger side was hit by a sedan. No airbags deployed. Contacted Toyota who reviewed my accident photos, and they claim the frame was not damaged, so the airbags wouldn't have deployed, but I don't buy it. The back end, glass, bumper, etc, was destroyed and my passenger door was completely caved in. The car was totaled. I don't see any reason the airbags would not have deployed, especially since I was completely stopped and was hit very hard. I suffered major bruising to my arms and legs, neck and back pain, all requiring several days off work.

17 Wiper problem of the 2012 Toyota Yaris

Failure Date: 09/01/2012

Major windshield glare. Not sure if it's the angle of the windshield, the brushed-plastic type dash that seems highly reflective, or a combination of the two. . . But when sunlight hits the dashboard, it creates a glare on the windshield. Depending on the angle of the sun, it can become extremely difficult to see through and poses a high risk at anything in a shaded area (like driving from sunny road through shaded patch). The glare is noticeable in low light and at night when passing street lamps/traffic lights. On a scale of 1-10. . . The night/low light visibility is around 1 or 2 but when you have the sun glaring on it, it's more of a 8-9. Temporary solution would most likely be a dash mat but maybe re-design or different material used would be better suggestion for the manufacturer.
