Two problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 2001 Volkswagen Beetle. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Was driving 40mph and another vehicle turned in front of Volkswagen. Other vehicle was "t" boned. Upon impact, neither air bags deployed. Driver suffered minor injuries & had emergency treatment.
Dealer says air bag must be replaced. Never deployed. Should it not last longer.
