7 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2018

Gas pump defect. There is a recall on the gaspump with manufacturer recall number20ae and NHTSA recall number17v509. Two weeks ago, as I was driving on the main street in our city, the car just stopped and I was blessed that no cars were following me. I cannot imagine what the situation would have been. I may have been alive wriitng these lines. I had the part changed and I was told to contact vw USA, what I was told was I will not be reimbursed until this recall was announced official by NHTSA. This is unacceptable. Does vw of NHTSA want people to lose their lives so that this would be an officla recall? I hope NHTSA takes this seriously and in vw USA's terms, make this recall official. How long are they going to make before they manufacture upgarded parts. Such an attitude is unacceptable. Which is more important? human life or money?.

Takata recall. . . How long are we suppose to ride around in a dangerous vehicle in harms way. The recall went out in February of this year and here it is July with no remedy. I need a loaner vehicle or a new vehicle for this death trap I have. I have a terrible gas leak in my fuel line. The gas smell has moved inside of the vehicle and no one can withstand it. Not only is the smell extremely strong, but the gas leak is even more dangerous than the faulty airbags. Insurance companies total vehicles when airbags deploy, but Volkswagen thinks it's okay for us to ride around in vehicles with faulty, life threatening airbags and faulty fuel lines. This is unacceptable on so many levels and something has to be done and be done immediately.
