Two problems related to front driver side air bag inflator have been reported for the 2011 Volkswagen CC. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Takata inflators , I received a letter from vw back in April that the air bag was faulty and has been at vw two times and they say that there has not been a fix for it yet , I asked if they were building new cares with faulty air bags they just said that when the new takata inflated came in that they would call me and I have been waiting since April ??? help.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Volkswagen Cc. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v078000 (air bags) for the front driver inflator; however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
