1 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2024

Well first off there was a recall on my year make and model but I guess it only lasted like a couple years . So twice already my fuel pump. Has needed to be replaced. Which is what the recall was for . So I was driving in the fast lane on the freeway when out of nowhere my car just stalled putting me and my passenger in risk of being rammed from behind . I've had to take it too a mechanic two or three times so they can fix the same thing . I have the invoice from the repairs . Also I can be driving and the emergency brake will just engage by itself not having been touched by anyone or anything. It puts me and my passenger at risk for whiplash due to the fact that it engages when I'm driving . No warning lite come on I've just felt the jolt almost causing me to hit my head on the windshield. Please help . Thank you sincerely luis enrique figueroa.

5 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 05/10/2021

I got this car like 2 months and I had nothing but problems. . . The check engine light has been on since I bought the car the tire message has been on since I got the car now since this last week I have a red flashing oil. Light come on and it says low oil pressure turn engine off and check the manual something like that. Plus about a month ago I took it to vw dealer ship they fix the exhaust manifold supposedly it was under warranty or something like that so I didnt have to pay and the 2 fuel injectors they replaced also and I cant get my other 2 fuel injectors replaced untill they go out. . And I guess that's why I get a light that flashes ecp when I'm driving also. . . So after all that I still have problems maybe even worse now with the low pressure meaning fuel pump is going out maybe I'm not sure. I do not have anymore money to keep fixing this car I bought like 2 months ago from vison motor sports in tulsa ok. . . They really screwed me and this is my first car I bought and that I have ever owned. . . . Help please thank you. .

7 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/10/2018

(1) first of all, I apologize if I don't describe clearly because english is my second language. I will do my best. My car is 2012 vw Cc. (2) received an important safety recall in June 2018 and tried to set up an appointment, but staff at vw at auto park, cary, nc responded that they don't have the parts and no one in their company knows when they will have the parts. She asked us to call back in a week. So why did they send me a letter to increase my anxiety for the future driving? thanks to NHTSA, I found out this is a recall issued on August 2017, but I received this letter almost a year later. This is ridiculous that vw company doesn't take recalls seriously and endangers customers' lives. (3) I also have a recall for airbag shown on this NHTSA. In April of 2016, they sent me a recall letter. When I called they said that it was not available, just found out they have the parts, but never tried to inform me. No follow up service. (4) one incident that occured to me in may 2017, the computer of the car went dead while I was in a park lot. Fortunately, it did not go out while I was driving. According to them, the computer needed to be upgraded for a malfunction and we had to pay for it. My husband and I would like to talk to the management to get a direct answer of the details, but they refused to give us any contact phone number including the head office of vw. (5)in conclusion, I am very disappointed with vw at auto park, cary, nc. Especially the way that the staffs represent their company. This location's service and culture were really bad from the last few years I had gotten. I chose to get service there only because it's the closest vw location. No other reasons. Thank you for reading my complaints with your patient! have a wonderful summer!.

8 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/02/2018

Vehicle was stationary and would not turn on. I took it to two vw services dealership one said I would charge $1800 just to open up and look the other told me it's the timing chain engine lost all compressions new engine is needed. I just paid the car off . No extreme leaks would to have caused this to happen. This is not the first time there are lawsuits about this matter. I called vw headquarters they will do nothing to salvage the damage.

14 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 11/25/2017

Over the last several weeks (3-4) I've observed the Cc straining (as if the battery doesn't have the amps) to start the vehicle. This past weekend the car wouldn't start and I can't charge the battery enough to produce the cranking amps to turn it over. The local vw dealership states that they have not received instructions as to how to diagnose or repair the vehicle at this time. We have less than 45000 mile on the Cc - this shouldn't be an issue for this vehicle. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

22 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 05/31/2016

The vehicle in question has had over two years of unresolved engine and transmission problems. The vehicle has been repeatedly return to the dealership only to be told that what it was there for not to be the problem but other things have been found and thats the problem. After paying for that repair only to bring it back for the original complaint. This is the pattern with the engine leaking oil and the leak never found to the car not going above 10 mph. Wthin the last 5 months the car has been in the shop for the same issue of no power and rattling shaking transmission. Three to four weeks at a time. In the past the car has been returned to the dealership once a week for the oil to be check and filled to specs . Also within the past two years the entire engine has been worked on by the dealership and the transmission was blown up by a technician being careless in making a repair. In repair orders I have the major work that has been done on this vehicle. In talking to the dealership and Volkswagen the only thing thats being said that the car is too far out of warranty. The issue that generates this complaint is that now Volkswagen dealership has the car and it needs a engine and transmission and wants between $8,000-$11,000. This is a major problem because of the issue that have been having over the period of time. The consumer should not be carrying the burden of this type of repair because of the history of the cars in question (which is the Volkswagen 2012 Cc). All of the problems have occurred while the car was in motion. The events with this car started in the year 2016 and the problems have been constant evry since up until this current date.

23 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/06/2016

It has been over one year since the airbag on my vehicle has been recalled and Volkswagen has yet to do anything. The turbo also seems to be malfunctioning.

24 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/04/2015

Ignition coil failure. My car started stalling, idle and I wasnt able to drive faster than 20 miles.

25 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/16/2015

My vehicle has been a problem since I started my lease til now. I have constant problems with my light bulbs even after they are replaced they go out quickly and often. The car has stalled on me twice and cut off twice. I have multiple trips to the service center for the sme things fuel injector pump and the check engine light. This is a fairly new car. I am now stuck with the car for another five years. I will never purchase another volkwagen or refer anyone to buy one either. I would like my history to be pulled and reviewed as a audit. I truly believe I bought and lemon and it has cost me lots of money . I truly would like these problems investigated for the sake of every volkwagen customer.

26 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 12/30/2012

Stepping on the accelerator does not always product motion. Dangerous situation when more acceleration is needed such as on an entrance ramp or passing other vehicles or having to accelerate to avoid a crash. This has been a constant since we purchased this car (new) in 2012. The dealer service department told us this a sport vehicle and there is not a problem with the car as long as we accelerate harder. The recall parts are still not available according to vw of orland park IL.

27 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2012

At 8:40 am cst on 11/6/2012. While commuting to work at 55 mph road in the middle of freeway. I lost functionality on the gas pedal. The vehicle would not accelerate when engaging the gas pedal. Gas pedal was rendering non-functional and in-effective. There was heavy soot/smoke from the exhaust primarily almost like fire and some smoke from under the hood, this is a new under warranty vw Cc 2012 4 door sedan. Driving on the left lane with a semi behind me when this occurred. It created a very unsafe near miss incident. I am fortunate that a collision did not happen when I lost power to the wheels. I pulled off to an exit and when I floored the gas pedal, there was intermittent power stalling the vehicle to less than 5 mph. However, there was heavy soot/smoke from the exhaust primarily almost like fire and some smoke from under the hood, with parking lights on I drove 2 minutes and pulled to a parking lot. My vehicle was towed to a nearest vw dealership upon talking with vw road side assistance. They appear to be inconsiderate to the magnitude of the situation I dealt with and the impact and severity of the technical failure. I don't know if this systemic in vw Cc. This technical failure can easily cause accidents. My near miss is a testament to it.

28 Other Fuel System problem
