4 Service Brakes problem of the 2014 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 04/25/2018

My vehicle start with the problem at 33kmiles. Now I'm at 37kmiles and it's happening daily. After starting the vehicle and putting it on drive, the brake will not work properly and started making a screeching noise. All of the warning lights on the dashboard lit up, the message center shows error with airbag, abs brake, vehicle stabilization. . . Etc. I am afraid for my life, this vehicle is not safe to drive. I would stop and turn off the engine and restart the vehicle, sometimes that reset the lights and other times that does not help. The biggest concern is the brakes noises and the power steering gets unstable, and afraid the airbag might not work properly in case of an accident. I just update the airbag from the last recall. I can't drive with my baby in the car because of the issues.

10 Service Brakes problem of the 2010 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 07/12/2016

Fuel pump module and takata inflators while driving on the freeway on the way to work my car ended up losing power and completely shutting down while in motion. The sudden loss of power shut off all of my lights inside and out. As soon as this happens I begin to press on my brakes only to notice that my brakes felt like they were lacking pressure. The lack of pressure on the rotars made it very difficult to slow down and with there being no power also made it difficult to turn the wheel. I merged over toward the shoulder and ending up hitting some type of water run off dip that caused my car to bounce up and blow out my right front tire. The blowout was what helped me slow my car down and bring it to a stop. That caused damage to the body of my car. After stopping I tried checking if the car would turn on and it had no response. I then had it towed away. That was in 2016 and to this day the car hasn't been able to get fixed.

11 Service Brakes problem of the 2010 Volkswagen CC

Battery died and since then my parking brake has malfunctioned, stalling while driving, and car seemed to not be changing gears, left me stranded. I didn't even see this oming because I had. O signs of trouble, started up and ran well until hot then would stall out, would start up, then seemed like it was switching gears on its own. This would happened while driving on city streets, at stop lights and even at 65 mph on freeway.

12 Service Brakes problem of the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 03/02/2016

Wednesday on my home I'm driving going about 35mph gearing down as I am coming up to a tole booth when I notice that brakes literally have shut off. I'm pressing the petal repeatedly as hard and as fast as I can to get them to work but they ended failing and I ran into someone and went through the tole booth and rolled stopped 80 yards after the crash because the brakes still did not work after the crash . With airbag not deploying. It was a very traumatic experience, I no longer feel comfortable in a vehicle I was so happy with moments before this happened.

13 Service Brakes problem of the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 12/15/2015

I started my car (37000 miles) on a parking lot, and the yellow warning lights for abs, stability control, power steering, passenger air bag and parking break lighted up at once. Took the car to the mechanic and the diagnostic was the abs module went bad. I found online that is a very common problem and a service bulletin was issued, but so far no recalls. It's a very expensive problem to repair $2000 to $3000, and I'm really concern that my passenger air bag is not operable.

14 Service Brakes problem of the 2014 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 10/02/2015

Car has 8200 miles. Started to notice when exit the freeway a rumbling sound, after few trips I narrowed the problem to front disc brakes. Seems like they are warped. After 2 times of taking the vehicle for inspection to savannah Volkswagen, they gave me feedback that problem is normal. The problem is more accute when brakes warm up a bit after driving on the freeway. Dont know what to do since vw customer service tells is ok.

16 Service Brakes problem of the 2013 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 05/27/2015

I had my rear brakes and rotors replaced at 23,600 miles and I was just informed that I need rear brakes and rotors again at 37,961. I bought the car at 6205 miles on the odometer and I had to have my brakes serviced both front and rear at the dealership and I brought my concerns with the service manager about brakes with the particular model. I have owned 2 jetta's prior to the Cc and never had brake issues like this. . I called Volkswagen corp. Headquarters in America and they're taking a no hands approach with my concerns and I strongly believe that these vehicles have braking issues and it makes no sense for a car to go through rear brakes every 12 to 15,000 miles and the auto maker believes that's not something to take a look at. I am asking for a little help into this matter as my concerns have not been resolved and Volkswagen's solution is to just keep changing the brakes and the rotors. . I look forward to hearing back from you and thanks for your time. .

18 Service Brakes problem of the 2013 Volkswagen CC

19 Service Brakes problem of the 2011 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 03/19/2013

Complete failure of the brakes. Tried to stop at 90 dedgree turn and pedal went within two inches of the floor. Car had almost no brakes. Went off the road but was able to keep it out of 6 foot ditch. Car was towed to dealer and I was told that a failure in the vacuum pump caused the problem. This failure was caused by a broken part inside. No warning lights came on. No warning of failure whatsoever. Vw treated it like it was the same as a flat tire. I felt it was a safety issue and asked to be removed from the remainder of the lease. I was told they don't do that. I traded the car for another vehicle as I felt the vw Cc was completely unsafe.

20 Service Brakes problem of the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 01/14/2013

On 01/14/2013 at approx. 6:00pm after driving up to a drive thru, I engaged the autohold on my 2012 Volkswagen Cc lux plus. After leaving the drive thru, I was waiting on a slight hill to drive across the highway to enter into my lane of traffic. The autohold had engaged and it was holding my position while waiting to pull into traffic. When I pressed on the accelerator, the vehicle unpredictably and rapidly accelerated from my held position. The car sped up from a dead stop across the state highway (maybe to 30-45 mph) in a very direct straight path. This rapid high speed happened so fast that I was not able to control the vehicle before it hit the curb across the highway, jumped the same curb and crashed into a 10?-12? deep ravine at a 35-45 degree angle. I was in complete and total shock. An individual stopped on the highway and assisted me from the ravine and I was able to call for assistance. A police report was filed. This 2012 Volkswagen Cc lux plus has only 5,425 miles on it. It has been only serviced by Volkswagen and no others. In the past this 2012 Volkswagen had experienced a problem with the autohold at time of original delivery from the dealership (where it was purchase brand new). The sales woman was moderately confused to say the least with the sudden surge the car experienced when she was attempting to explain the particular feature of autohold. She indicated at that time, she did not know why it would have done that and just continued on to provide new car stuff. Besides the delivery incident and the accident, I have had two other brief minor acceleration (rev up) issues while the autohold was engaged. I never thought it was much to concern myself over as they were only what I would of thought of as slight surges for the two occasions. Each time the autohold was engaged the car wanted to accelerate, yet I was able to brake to stop the car.

21 Service Brakes problem of the 2013 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 04/30/2012

I found out vw has re-designed their brakes for a 'soft feel'. But the brakes now travel almost to the floor when slowly pushed down, and you have to pump the pedal to get a feel that the brakes are taking effect. In fact the travel of the brake pedal is lower than the level of the gas pedal and this is where the safety issues comes in. Because of this excessive brake pedal travel, I have on a number of occasions found my foot pressing both the brake and gas pedals at the same time. Particularly at slow speeds - like in heavy traffic, or coming to a slow stop in the garage. When that happens, the engine starts to rev up as the brakes try to stop the car - needless to say it scared the crap out of me. Checking the various car forum web sites (edmunds, kelly, etc. ), I found out I am not alone with this problem. I've gone back to the dealer who bled the brakes and done the usual checks and said the brakes where 'up to spec'. But the service manager admitted that the new vw braking systems are "soft" and if you have big feet, you have to learn to reposition your foot each time you what to use the brakes. He also said to be aware that the long brake pedal travel my "feel funny" for a while - like the car isn't going to stop . If I have to reposition my foot each time to brake in order to avoid the gas pedal , I'll end up wrapping the car around a pole ! here is the kicker - I've had the car a month with 500 miles on it and this has happened at least 6 times! help!.
